The Nancy VandeVeer Employee Recognition Program is available to all GLC MRA members. This is a way for you to recognize your fellow employees who have gone above and beyond. The employee you recognize does not have to be a GLC member. Each employee that is nominated will receive a certificate of nomination and $10. We reward nominees quarterly. In addition, we randomly pick two nominees per quarter to win a $50 gift certificate. We also pull one $100 winner from our entire pool of nominees at he end of the fiscal year and award that person $100. Big Wheel Newsletter Member Highlights Chair- Thomas Harvey (thomash@advantageresearch.com), Directions Research
The GLC Newsletter is called the Big Wheel. In each issue there is a section called “Member Highlights”. Thomas Harvey is responsible for choosing two GLC members per quarter to highlight.

ShipMates Calling Committee- Kris Leonard (kleonard@walkerinfo.com), Walker Information
Kris Leonard works closely with our Director of Membership, Ken Strunk. Each month the Naitonal MRA sends us our roster. Members that are about to lapse and lapsing are highlighted each month. The Shipmates are responsible for following up with members to remind them to renew or find the reasons why they have chosen not to renew membership. It is also the Calling Committees responsibility to call members to update them on upcoming conference dates and locations. If you would like to volunteer to help make calls, please contact Kris Leonard.

City Forum- Damon Jones (Damon.Jones@burke.com), Burke
City Forums were started by Sharon Mutter. These are one day seminars located in GLC member markets that might not have enough members to have a full 2 day fall or winter conference. This is GLC’s way of reaching out to all members. City Forum is usually done over a 2-3 hour window over lunch. It usually consists of an end user panel. Our goal is to conduct 2 City Forum’s per fiscal year. If you are interested in hosting a City Forum, please contact Damon Jones. Please click below for reviews on past City Forums.

New Member Packets- Kathy Pellman (kathy@mdssworld.com), MDSS
National MRA sends GLC a monthly roster that includes New Members. Kathy is responsible for organizing a calling committee to contact new members and welcome them to the chapter. She also makes sure we have the most current contact information on all members to make sure that we keep an up to date, working roster.

Big Wheel Newsletter Editor- Sherri Dansby (sdansby@bcbsm.com), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
The Big Wheel is our quarterly newsletter. Each board member writes an article and submits the articles to Sherri Dansby. Sherri organizes the newsletter and prepares it for printing. We print in July, October, January and April. If you have an article that you would like to submit or any ideas for future newsletters, please contact Sherri.
